You can reserve a unit or container either by calling our Layerthorpe facility or coming in to the store. We simply ask for a fully refundable £10.00 reservation deposit.
Simply call our Layerthorpe facility on 01904 217777. We will cancel the reservation and refund your reservation deposit. Should you need to change your unit size, move-in date or storage location just give the Storage Team a call and we will adjust your reservation over the phone.

For safety and insurance reasons, Inner Space Stations does not permit the storage of perishables, foods or flammable materials and liquids.
We can store motorbikes at our external container sites but they must be drained of any flammable fluids off site such as fuel and the battery also needs to be disconnected before storing with us.

Of course. But why not check out the padlocks we have available in store? We have of both key and combination padlocks to meet your needs. If you are storing at one of our container sites we will supply with a a heavy duty lock at no additional cost.
At Inner Space Stations we make sure our customers know exactly what is included in our Self Storage prices. We also have great discounts available for long term storage.
We will match a comparable quote from another storage operator who offers the same facilities and features as Inner Space Stations Self Storage internal facility. Price match does not apply to external container storage.
The operator’s facility must be located within a 5 mile radius of Inner Space Stations Self Storage internal facility at Layerthorpe.
Quotes must be in writing, verbal quotes will not be accepted.
All quotes must be less than 28 days old at the point of move in.
Price match guarantee is subject to the availability of the required size unit.
Any quote that is accepted will be honoured for a maximum of 26 weeks after which time our standard rate for the unit size will be applied.

You will be invoiced for your storage every 4 weeks, payable in advance. We accept credit and debit cards, direct debit and American Express but we don’t accept Diners cards. Direct debit is our preferred method of payment.
We require a refundable deposit on all storage bookings equivalent to 1 weeks rental.

Our Layerthorpe city centre internal self storage facility has 24 hour access available on request, so you can access your unit at your own convenience, whenever you need. We also offer extended access from 6am – 10pm. Please ask for further details.

Yes, our facility was built with disabled access in mind as it is important that all our customers have a hassle-free experience storing with us. At our Layerthorpe facility we have three floors of units all accessible using the lift. We also have a disabled toilet located on our ground floor. Our storage facility has wide corridors and smooth walkways so that any wheelchair users have enough space to access their unit with ease.

Moving in to your unit or container couldn't be simpler. From contactless sign-ups to secure key collection we make moving in a smooth and easy process.
Before your move-in date we request that you provide official photographic identification, for example, a driving licence or passport. We will also need proof of your current address, for example a council tax bill or current utility bill.
Yes, of course, providing it is during our Reception opening times. All we need is your proof of identification and address. We can set up your contract and you can move your items in to your unit or container the same day.
Yes, prospective customers can call to reserve a unit and complete all of the rental agreement documentation without the need to visit the facility.
We want to make moving out as simple and easy as moving in and help you vacate your unit when you are ready to go.
Yes, as long as we have the unit or container size you need available we can transfer your contract. Just call our Layerthorpe facility and one of the Storage Team will organise this for you.
At Inner Space Stations we ask for a 14 day written notice to be given when you are ready to vacate your unit. We will refund you for any storage you have overpaid.
We understand that you won’t need us forever, and we want to make your moving out experience as easy as possible. Simply provide us with 14 days written notice, then come and empty your unit at your own convenience.
At our internal Layerthorpe facility we ask that you remove your padlock and inform one of the staff that you have emptied the unit. We ask that your unit or container is left in the same condition as when you moved in. Once your unit has been checked you will refunded any unused rent and your security deposit.
At our container sites, once you have emptied the container we ask that you lock it with the padlock that we supplied. Our Murton and Hessay sites have drop boxes where you can leave the key. If you are storing at Dunnington or Hull Road, simply call in to Layerthorpe to drop off the key.
At Inner Space Stations we offer our customers a convenient and easy way to send and receive parcels.
Yes, as an Inner Space Stations customer we will accept parcel deliveries on your behalf. We store them in a secure unit until you are able to collect them.
We make every effort to protect your goods while they are stored with us. However, there is always a possibility that loss or damage could occur and we want you to have complete peace of mind when storing with us. For this reason, our contract requires your goods to be protected either by our enhanced liability under StoreProtect or via insurance you have arranged elsewhere at your own expense.
Our Self Storage Agreement requires you to either: accept our enhanced liability protection under StoreProtect; or arrange insurance at your own expense for your stated Maximum Reinstatement Value for the duration of storage.

We can provide protection for your stored goods on a new replacement basis.
StoreProtect is an extension to our standard contract that allows us to accept liability for loss or damage to your goods in certain circumstances.
Our liability under StoreProtect is accepted on a new replacement basis for most goods you store. However, there are restrictions for some items, such as jewellery, watches, furs, fine art, beers, wines, and electrical items. We cannot offer StoreProtect for motorcars stored outside a unit or food/perishable items.
Please request a copy of our Self Storage Agreement and/or StoreProtect Addendum for full details of the protection we can provide by emailing storage@innerspacestations.com. To benefit from StoreProtect, you must declare an appropriate new replacement value for all goods stored (known as the Maximum Replacement Value). This figure must be adequate to include all goods at all times.
If you do not opt for StoreProtect, our standard terms limit our liability for your goods to a maximum of £100. You are also required to arrange insurance at your own expense for your stated Maximum Reinstatement Value for the duration of storage.
We must understand the total value of all goods stored with us, even if you arrange insurance elsewhere. It is, therefore, a requirement for all customers to declare a suitable Maximum Replacement Value and to ensure it remains adequate for the storage period.
Your Maximum Replacement Value must represent the total current cost of replacing all stored property as new, except the following items where the replacement cost is calculated differently:
• household linen and clothing, motorcars, motorbikes, boats, caravans, motorhomes and any other motorised vehicle, where the Replacement Value allows for the age, quality, degree of use, existing damage and consequent market value;
• any goods which cannot be purchased new (such as antiques or works of art, for example), where the replacement value shall be the current market value; and
• documents, where the Replacement Value shall be calculated as the physical cost of replacing the documents and/or cost of reprinting, re-issue and/or reconstitution, but excluding the value of the information contained in the documents
